Terry John Barto Encourages Children to Dream Big

Reading is becoming a lost art, especially among children in the early elementary school grades. With video games, sports practices, and play dates vying for their attention, it takes an excellent story to get kids to pick up a book voluntarily. When the characters are likable and believable, kids naturally want to follow their adventures. This is a fun way to improve their reading skills.
Gollywood, Here I Come! is author Terry John Barto's first children's book. The story, which stars a turkey named Anamazie Marie LaBelle, is fun while teaching kids important life lessons at the same time. Through hard work and a positive attitude, she realizes her dream. Of all the children's books currently on the marketplace, no others feature a turkey as the main character.
Gollywood, Here I Come! taps into current pop culture trends of TV shows like “America’s Got Talent” and the public’s fascination with celebrities. At its heart, the story leaves young readers with the positive message “You can do anything if you work hard and never give up.”
